About MITSUMOTO SAKARI

Brand background and key notes.

MITSUMOTO SAKARI is a brand founded in 2015 in Japan by a group of artisans and sake enthusiasts. The idea stemmed from the desire to enhance the centuries-old traditions of sake production by combining traditional techniques with modern innovations. The founder, Hiroshi Mitsumoto, began his journey in the industry in 2008, working at a renowned sake brewery in Niigata, a region famous for its pure water and high-quality rice paddies.

In 2012, Mitsumoto decided to embark on a journey across various regions of Japan to learn the different production techniques and secrets of various producers. This experience fuelled his passion and led to the creation of MITSUMOTO SAKARI. The first production was launched in 2015, featuring a limited selection of sake made from locally grown rice and spring water, key elements for the quality of the final product.

In the following years, MITSUMOTO SAKARI expanded its product range, introducing various types of sake, including junmai, ginjo, and daiginjo, which have been well received both nationally and internationally. The focus on quality and the selection of premium ingredients have allowed the brand to establish itself in the sake market, participating in numerous festivals and competitions, where it has received accolades and awards.

Currently, MITSUMOTO SAKARI is committed to keeping the tradition of sake alive while exploring new frontiers in production, all the while maintaining a deep respect for Japanese cultural heritage. The brand continues to grow, maintaining a strong connection to its roots.
